Field Trip to the Leslie Science Center
Em was so excited to ride the bus for her field trip to the Leslie Science Center (I wish I could have shared her sentiments!). We had fun learning about Native Americans, animals and plants. Yet still, the highlight for Emmie was the bus. :D

Halloween Fun at Gymnastics!
This week Emma and her gym friends were asked to come in costume. Since Emma's costume was a little long for tumbling we modified it a bit with her ballet leotard and she had a blast!! :D

Making Halloween Cookies
Emma loves to help cook. She even helps wash up after we are done- now that is my kind of helper! We also had a lot of fun with the marble run while we waited for the yummy cookies to bake. :)

Annual fall visit to the Alber Apple Orchard
Not sure if Emma liked the doughnuts or the pony ride best :) Both were pretty good!

Emma also had a great time at Maddie's birthday party!
It was a busy day, starting with soccer, then Juliette's party and rounding out the day day with Maddie's party. The mint, brownie, oreo cake was delish and the kids had fun just hanging out and being together. Meg at a great idea for each of the kids to do a scrapbook page for Maddie too! :) Happy Birthday Maddie!

The Christmas Carol Train
While at Greenfield Village earlier in the week, Emma and I heard about the train coming for a short visit that featured items from the new Disney movie the Christmas Carol. We decided it sounded fun; returned to visit the train and catch a glimpse of the movie before it opened in theaters. Even though we decided the movie was a little too scary for Emma and probably won't go see it when it comes out, we still had a lot of fun, especially with the bubble snow! :)

Annual Trip to Lake Michigan
We had another great year up at the Lake with Grandma Mary Ann and Grandpa Byron. It was also great to see Shell and Paul, Kim, Grant and Liam; and Tomi, Denny, Grace and Jayce. We had fun celebrating birthdays, swimming, playing and EATING (and more eating) together! Can't wait to see you all at the lake next year!

On the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan
In all of my travels I have seen only a few beaches that revile the beauty of Lake Michigan. The sandy coastline is beautiful and the water isn't salty!! What more could one ask for (except maybe a few degrees warmer)? :D

Grandpa Byron and Emma :)
From the finger licking to the silly faces, is it any wonder that the two of them get along so well?
